Crocosmia

In a tangled ivy- suffocating flowerbed in the corner of the  garden we have this amazing show of Crocosmia.  A member of the Iris family it originates in the grasslands of southern and eastern Africa.

The men are working like mad things on the farm today, trying to sow the oilseed rape, already a week late, before the rain comes.  They then have to roll it and then spray the weeds.  T worked late into the night.
