Summer Serenade

He may have been serenading his lovely mama, whose art show opening was being celebrated at The Green House, or he may have been singing his heart out because he had to. It doesn't matter. He had an enchanted audience in the fading evening light. It was easy to relax in the balmy air, breathing in the ambiance of art, friendship, and music with meaning.

The Green House is a local coffee house that is so much more than a coffee house. It is famous for biscuits...and for events that celebrate and share the talents of those who live in the area. It has a small town friendly feel to it and is managed with enthusiasm and grace by Jessie. The one who was serenading was Jason, one of my talented nephews. He is also my sister, Mary's son. The exhibit was of Mary's small, jewel-like watercolors.

An extra of Jason resting between songs with his jovial drummer. And of Mary as she listened to the songs of her beautiful son.
