Step back in time...

Today was a wonderful day. A gentle step back in time to the golden age of aviation and glorious days of motor racing at the Goodwood Revival - my 7th (or maybe 8th) year attending.

Celebrating motorsport and all things vintage from the 1944 to 1966 era, when Goodwood Motor Circuit was an active race circuit, the event is like reliving history.

Among the aviation sights today were 20 Spitfires, a beautiful Royal Navy Seafire, Harvards and a Bristol Blenheim (pictured in my Blip overlooked by my friends Andy and Jackie in their spiffing hats).

The motoring paddocks were full of vintage automobiles from children's soap box cars to Daytona speed cars, AC Cobras, Ferraris and rather a lot of very old motorbikes that my grandad would have loved.

Much chatter was had by all today catching up with aviation pals, journalist and photographer friends and our fly2help colleagues.

The sunshine was a blessing as was the wonderful company of my glamorous companions today the fabulous Helen, Debs and Jackie accompanied by hubby Andy looking most dapper!

Looking forward to next year's Revival already...
