Above And Beyond...

A Sunny Day

Cardiff City FC had their first match after the international break, against Huddersfield Town. Cardiff remained unbeaten with a 2-0 win and rose to 2 place in The Championship table. Much better than I expected them to be doing.

The manager Russell Slade hasn't been popular with the majority of fans but it was nice that seconds before the match they asked him to do the Ayatollah. This is the signature moving of the hands up and down on the head to signify togetherness. He responded.

The main blip picture is of Anthony Pilkington scoring Cardiff's first goal in 69th minute. The keeper is beaten and the ball can be seen just crossing the goal line. Pilkington is in blue, about to turn to celebrate.

The second goal was scored in 77th minute by Joe Mason. He is on the extreme left of the extra picture and the ball is crossing the line by near the hand of the yellow shirted No 2.

The sun shone all day - contrary to the forecast. Cardiff's next match is on Tuesday night. Let's hope the winning form and togetherness remains.
