Genoa sunrise

An early start to disembark from our ship this morning at Genoa at 8am. The rain was not far off but the rising sun reflected its fiery rays behind the distant hills of northern Italy.
As we sailed towards its moorings we passed the salvage operation of the raised Costa Concordia - a sobering reminder to cruise captains not to try and be too clever! I think the Costa line will be as quick as it can in wiping evidence of this monumental navigation disaster from view - gone is all gloss and glitz - a sorry sight of rusting metal. See first extra photo. The second extra pic is a wonderful view of the snow-capped Alps on the flight to London.
