Menorca - Day 2: S'Albufera des Grau

Back blip

We visited the Parque Natural de s'Albufera des Grau to see what wildlife was to be found on the vast wetland site. I've been past it many times (en route to the beach at Es Grau) but never made a trip to see the wetlands site itself.
We saw many wetlands birds (including little grebes with grebelings, mallards and gadwalls, coots and moorhens, egrets, and martins) as well as lots of lizards and insects.

In the evening we explored the local bay (and admired the jetsam), and I had fun photographing a large centipede with my macro lens and flash (right from here)...

Other pictures from this day can be found on Flickr (right from here).
