Menorca - Day 9: S'Albufera des Grau

Back blip

We returned to the wetlands at the S'Albufera des Grau natural park to try one of the other walking routes, and to see whether we could get closer to the egrets (seen on the previous visit but only at a great distance). This path was much better for egrets, and we got close(r) to loads of them. There were lots of little egrets poking around in the shallow water, and some up trees. One was very protective of its spot in the reeds... We also saw lots of lizards (including a wall lizard missing most of its tail).

After exploring the wetlands, we walked around the bay opposite Es Grau (see panorama) and went for a swim around the corner, between Platja des Patró Llorenç and Ille d'en Colom (see panorama).
