Menorca - Day 10: Far de Cavalleria

Back blip

This was a stormy day (this is what we woke up to...).
We went for a wonderfully Menorquin lunch at Es Pla in Fornells (melon and parma ham, fresh sole, and crema Catalana); rain came and went, and the harbour and Monte Toro looked rather dramatic under the heavy sky.
After lunch, we set out for the Ecomuseu on Cap de Cavalleria. It turns out that the ecomuseum shut down three years ago, but we found another museum in the base of the Far de Cavalleria which was small but excellent!
When we arrived on the headland, the storm seemed to have settled right above us (panorama), and there was torrential rain and lighting; it was very dramatic, but didn't last long, and the photo above was taken only an hour after the worst of the storm was overhead. The scene was very different as we left the museum and drove off the headland.

Other pictures from this day can be found on Flickr (right from here).
