Walking into history

Jersey War Tunnels were our destination today via vintage bus,  A young man pulled up at the bus stop to inform us that the bus had broken down!. Asked at the tourist board how long it would take to walk there - 45 to 60 minutes I was told.  What she didn't say was that the footpath she had directed me to at the end of the Esplanade was not signposted.  Took 2 hours, but we finally arrived then spent another 2 hours looking around.  Photos show the entrance, the inside of a tunnel and the garden of remembrance - all very poignant,  walked all the way back too - go me!
