Martins Mere

Although we have passed the brown signs on the M6 I don't know how many times, it was the first opportunity we've had to stop off at the WWT reserve at Martins Mere. It was founded by Peter Scott and deserved a much longer visit.
As it was a Saturday, there were lots of children running in and out of the hides, which wasn't really conducive to relaxed birdwatching...
I did see my first Marsh Harrier, though :)!!!
And M loved the Whistling Teal (otherwise known as Mexican Squeakers!)
