A view from Jeanneb

A touch of Autumn

We have escaped the heavy rain predicted for, other parts of the country today but it has been very dull.

Set out for the early walk (two sides of Wilsden) with a glimmer of brightness in the sky but as we reached Wilsden the mist came down and that put an end to the views!

We had our very own Great North Run hero with us, Wilsden Walker - https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2089845165484150057, totally unscathed but vowing she wouldn't do it again.
She seems to have come out of it better than her daughter who is suffering hip and blister problems.

On our way home this little bit of bright colour caught my eye. Lots of hints of colour appearing amongst the trees and with stormy weather forecast in some places I think we can say Autumn is on it's way.

Been in the rest of the day waiting for a new bed to be delivered so now we have both spare bedrooms equipped for guests.

Choir practice starts again tonight after a long summer break, another sign of Autumn, we'll be singing Christmas Carols soon!
