Inchmickery

The island of Inchmickery in the Forth Estuary is now an RSPB bird sanctuary. During the war, it was heavily fortified as part of our coastal defences. In profile, it looks rather like the outline of a battleship but whether that was deliberate or not, I'm not sure.

Thank you all for your appreciation of yesterday's teasel. I had time to make more effort today and went further afield to seek out this blip - all the way to the coastal path between Inverkeithing and Dalgety Bay.
