Walking the dogs

The hide at the end of the seawall at Oare Marshes has windows looking out over the estuary and also a side-window looking down Oare Creek which is where I took the shot. This couple had two small dogs which they let off their leads here and as the dogs ran off they enjoyed the view. You've got it as the blip de jour because I liked the DOF and the light on the woman's hair as it moved in the breeze.

As the season is changing there was a different set of performers on the east flood. The avocets are still there in great number but there are ringed plovers and golden plovers (see extra photo) and the number of lapwings and dunlins is climbing. I was lucky enough to see a kestrel quartering a field next to the road just before the entrance to the reserve. All up a lovely visit.
