The End of the Rainbow

It was a better day today weather-wise.  We went for a walk on the front after breakfast, walking along the pier and round the very impressive marina.  Then into town for coffee at Hooper's department store, very unsatisfactory.

After a spot of lunch, nothing for me I was still stuffed from breakfast, we went over to Dawlish to see Colin.   We walked  alongside the brook, having a look at the ducks, geese and black swans, to his allotment. He's done a grand job in cultivating this and we were given some samples to take home. (I did take a nice photo of him by his plot, but had to promise not to blip it!).

Later we all went to Dawlish Warren where we met Steve and Sue, who are staying in a cottage near the estuary, and walked to Cockwood for a meal at The Ship. After we went back to their's for a cup of tea and a game or two of cards.

The photo was taken as we were just leaving their cottage. This rainbow appeared over the river and the railway line that runs alongside. This train was passing at the time, it looks like the pot of gold is in the first truck.
