Bigel

A hedgehog is "ein Igel" in German.  And you pronounce it just like "eagle".  This little one must surely be a baby and so we can conflate the 2 words and we get a Bigel.

It was in the garden as I came home from work. I think this is one of those times I'm glad I didn't spend more time in the office.  I think it's a beautiful little thing.  I had seen a larger version later at night wandering around, but never one in daylight.  And given that it is daylight, we reasoned that the poor thing must be hungry, so it's been given some food (not bread in milk) and some water.

To give you an idea of size, I reckon it could sleep in a hanky box no bother.

I don't think I have to tell you anything else about my day.  My day has been made by the arrival of this little beauty.

Oh and I've just looked out the window - it's been half an hour since it got blipped and it's still there.  And definitely still as cute.
