We were walking through the karst landscape near Altamura today. The sun had returned after the thunderstorm in the night - the cobbles were dry again by the time we were heading out. We had inspected the Pulo, a huge dolina in the Alta Murgia national park, and climbed into a cave that had been used as a prehistoric dwelling. We were walking over the bare fields where the stubble had been burned when a sudden wind - not cold, but urgent - warned us the the weather forecast had been right after all ...
