Summer Farewell

This sunflower is certainly a reminder that summer is finally gone. Today was the first fall-like day we have had and it was absolutely delightful.  I spent most of the afternoon listening to music and reading on the screened porch with a couple of breaks for shots of backyard birds and this flower. Husband's vacation is over tomorrow... and mine just goes on and on.


I wonder what a shrink would have to say about the fact that I like dead flowers so much.
