Owl Sculpture

After picking up my car after its MOT I drove down to Bowling Harbour to catch the beautiful evening light. The landscaped picnic area has a series of bird sculptures which need dramatic lighting to show them at their best. I used fill-in flash and a low angle as the sun illuminated the water in the Clyde Estuary as the backdrop. The owl's eye had been painted red and I was amused to see the red-eye tool removed it!
The extra photos capture the play of light on water as the sun dropped lower in the sky. In Photo 1 the Henry Bell Obelisk commemorating the steamship pioneer can be seen in the distance and Photo 2 was taken looking across the last basin of the Forth and Clyde Canal to the river.
