After the Lord Mayor's Show...

comes the fun of fixing the wiring under the main bedroom before the carpet goes down on Wednesday.  Lifted yet another floorboard and found this. 

It's an inch and a half diameter and presumably part of the original central heating system as it leads to a pair of holes in the floor that would suggest a radiator.  None of your flimsy 15mm stuff here.
