I had geared myself up to lug the watering can around the garden this morning after several dry days, but then there was downpour in the night and everywhere is soaking again.

We still have a hosepipe ban because the ground water aquifer hasn't been made up. In fact the ban hasn't been too much of a hardship because it has seldom been dry enough for watering to be necessary!
