'The Whisper'

Been meaning to blip 'The Whisper' for some time now, and calling in at the Library today with my little  camera in my pocket gave me that opportunity. It is actually a copy by sculptor David Annand. It was commissioned by Angus Council and erected outside the Public Library in 1994. It represents an intimate thought shared between two women who are protecting themselves against the North East coast wind. The original, of Hoptonwood stone, was unfinished when Lamb died and now stands in the William Lamb Studio. Unfortunately the Studio is only open to the public during July and August each year and so it will be a while before I can see the original.
