SILLY OLD SKIN...

...didn't explain myself too well last night - we (CC, S, Cécile & I) had been to a brilliant Japanese restaurant & a fair bit of sake had been enjoyed.

Anyway... No, no - I didn't inadvertently plane the skin off my finger, but I used it to push the little plane too hard & too often across the grain to get a perfect depth of the neck from the head (23 mm) to the heal (26 mm).

After I'd finished, CC pointed out that he could have done the job in 10 minutes on the band-sander. I knew that - but I'd rather rub the skin off a finger than have to re-start the whole thing from A 1!!

Fingers are most funny & beautiful things with a pretty efficient self-repair mechanism incorporated.
