Life in Sunny Dubai

Camelia

After having several Afternoon Tea's in this restaurant, I discovered today that it is called Camelia and not Peacock Alley!

Had a NICE leisurely morning - for a change. John & Marilyn joined us in the afternoon, having collected our Cafe Ceramique pieces on the way down, and we headed off to the Waldorf Astoria in Ras Al Khaimah, taking the scenic route by sticking as close to the old road as possible. As G had booked us in, a table had been laid out for us.

I didn't want to spoil things by taking too many photos, so here are a few shots to record the tea. We came home via Barracuda (read off-licence liquor store) and a Lebanese meal on the other side of town; last one for three of the party! It is the first day of Eid, so there were a few traffic jams to dodge on the way back. SweetArt's last day tomorrow. ;(

And I had a go on Gs ukulele and learnt a few chords and managed to belt out a tune or two! :D

PS. I have to thank SweetArt for the Extra photo on the horses on the beach driving back. It was much more crowded today, so paddling was given a miss.
