Hot Enough to Make Your Hair Curl

We had to go out to do errands--it was cooler in the car than at home, although it's fine in here now with the blinds drawn and the doors shut. This heat is affecting things in surprising ways--chickens are not laying, and goats are not producing milk. Egg season is over for the farm that delivers to our neighborhood every week. Now that is something you would never guess, even as you're watching your own garden struggle through more crazy weather.
