Dinan

Without a guide book or a large scale map, we managed to park in the middle of Dinan, close to the old part of the town. We strolled through the cobbled streets, remembering to look upwards to see the amazing half timbered buildings. There were interesting shops too, with lovely hand made jewellery.
All the while there was strange music, not quite an accordion and really not very tuneful. We came upon this little man, sat on a stool, turning a handle on the side of this strange gadget.
We sat across the way for our coffee, and later we found another lovely French restaurant and had an even better meal than yesterday's. This restaurant was in one of the very old buildings, and climbing the worn wooden spiral staircase up to the toilette was an adventure! H&S wouldn't have allowed it in the UK - we stick to EU rules!
