His beak can hold more than his belly can!

A bright sunny day, so we made a visit to a zoo. Called Zoo de Tregomeur, it is not far from St Brieuc and is billed as a modern zoo that prides itself on the conservation of vegetation as well as animals. Amongst bamboo species and pines of the Himalayas were many different Asian animals. We saw Snow Leopards and a massive tiger (no photo ops, sorry) lots of different varieties of monkeys and birds, porcupines and rare wild horses. The zoo is in a deep wooded valley, very peaceful until suddenly three gibbons started hooting from the top of a eacalyptus tree. The noise was so great that at first we thought it was amplified, but it wasn't.
It was a peaceful day (apart from the gibbons!), walking in the wooded valley with its burbling stream. This pelican paid us a lot of attention, and so did the goats when they knew Normous had feed pellets.
Back at the hotel, Normous has disappeared somewhere to watch rugby. I hope he tears himself away to visit the restaurant!
