Oi! Lost your bottle Geezer?

It's probably been turned into a carpet.
Apart from going to the dentist's on the right day we started to look at carpets and this caught my eye.
I like the concept of recycling, many of us were doing something akin to that back in the mists of history when pop-bottles were glass and had sufficient deposit on then to make returning them worthwhile, not to mention jam-jars and milk-bottle tops. If it was combustible it was burned, if it was vegetation it was composted, etc. Our ''Dust-bin'' would have lasted a month between empties no problem.

While I'm in high rant mode... I'm still waiting for somebody to explain, in meaningful terms, why no country is deemed to be successful unless it is consuming its finite resources at a faster rate than it did last year???
