The Viking

The Viking: this is our old quad we keep in our neighbor's boathouse here at the island - it hangs from the ceiling and is really hard to get out, and it seems to get heavier every year. So it was happy today when 5 members of our old rowing club arrived this morning. We needed this many people to get it out (very late in the day when the tide was high enough.) It was a beautiful calm day so the 4 women took it (with one 12 year old daughter as cox) for a very fine row. Here they are navigating back in to the float at the dock. And after that there was a marvelous dinner with copper river salmon!!
