Picking the last apple...!

Getting the last apple from the tree is never easy, and of course the tree is growing taller every year (or I'm shrinking, or both!). However I don't like to leave them there in case they drop on someone's head in a strong wind.

Fortunately we have an (aged but effective) 4-section telescopic picker, but even with that this was slightly tricky (as was working the camera whilst holding the picker, my Editor being busy elsewhere in the garden...just as well I have a tripod and a cable release!).
