We did two routes on Gardoms Edge near Chatsworth, N.M.C. Crack (VD) to get us both back into it after the gap we've had, and Apple Arête (VS4b)... although S thought it was a 4c but his guide book's a bit old... both climbs ending on the flat boulders in the photo. This time I found the hand jamming more 'comfortable'. Very enjoyable all round. A leisurely day, with coffee stops, time to sit in the sun and chat about stuff and ending of course with the pub, although it was tea for me as I was driving. We were discussing me having a go at leading, which S seemed to think I'd enjoy although I'm not so sure, but I don't think we'll get round to that until next spring.................. if we've not fallen out!
