Papal visit

New Yorkers are used to celebreties. And are said to be indifferent in general (probably because everything pretty much can happen here).
"The president passes by? Great, but I want my Starbucks coffee, will that be delayed?" However, the visit of the Pope is a different story. The city goes crazy and he is welcomed like a pop star. On his way from the airport he passed by our house today, on a closed and empty street with incredible numbers of police, a lot of bystanders waving and him waving back (see above picture in the small fiat). Yes, I caught a glimpse too (See extra picture)
