Sunday fun!

My grandchildren in Cheshire enjoyed a pizza outside in the sunshine, while their cousins in London were making shapes while talking to me via FaceTime. Technology can be a wonderful thing!

A relaxing Sunday for me after the very successful Book Launch last night! The village hall was packed, and before we talked about the village history book, we had an excellent speaker on another interesting project : First Women. An award winning photographer, Anita Corbin, is aiming to take portraits of 100 women who have achieved something noteworthy for the first time. She had her pictures of women who had crossed the Arctic alone, achieved sporting firsts, and women in the House of Lords, such as Baroness Boothroyd.

We had a fascinating evening talking to many people who had contributed memories, photos and information for our history of the village in the 20th century - and most of the audience went home with a copy of our book!
