A Regal Pot

I have been re-planting some of the pots for autumn, and this lobelia was, I think, trying to look pretty in the sunshine in order to stay a little longer! I have had this rustic crown since the silver jubilee.
This is really Monday's blip, and Monday's is Sunday's....but never mind!!
Bookclub this afternoon, a very warm and sunny one! This time we had each chosen our own book and gave a short chat about it - very varied, from  The Mockingbird Next Door to The Miniaturist and several in between!   We sat in a friend's garden room by French windows looking out onto a wide terrace (with plenty of colourful pots), the sun shone in - and then we had a delicious afternoon tea!
