Homage to Oscar

Peter (the man who helps with our garden) came today and asked me if I would like one of the last photos taken of Oscar just a few months before he passed.  This lovely shot was taken outside the Vine Inn in Dunham Massey.  Peter is very lucky to live right next door to the Vine Inn. He lives in a rented cottage owned by the brewery, Samuel Smiths of Tadcaster. The photographer, who is a neighbour of Peter's, was just going into the pub when he spotted Oscar outside.  This is such a good picture - Oscar must have been in good spirits when it was taken. He was such a lovely dog and when he was in his prime would enjoy a bowl of milk whilst Peter was having a cup of tea.  A very mischievous dog too, sometimes he would wander into the house to have a nosey around if we had left a door open.  His favourite trick was to hide in the garage when we were driving out and we were really lucky not to lock him in..  More about Oscar here.  Sadly missed.
