Ottobeuren Regional Market

Morning shot by with the usual riding/walking routine and by the time all the animals had been dealt with we set off late to the annual Regional Market in Ottobeuren.

Sunday shopping is a no go in much of Germany and especially Bavaria. Towns are given a certain number of days in the year when they can organise Sunday events which include selling.

Todays market is supposed to be mainly about regional things mainly connected with food and drink. However a large part is taken over by the friends of old timer tractors and vehicles. Loads of photos on Flickr.

We arrived too late to get a famous mini roasted knuckle of pork from our butcher - long sold out. However enjoyed our stroll in the sun.

Back home spent hours relocating the geese fencing to what will probably be the main field for them in the future. Still need to dig a pond and erect housing so for the moment they will be moved mornings and evenings to and from the hen area.
