Hoverfly on the menu

I went to U3A this morning where there was a very interesting talk about wolves by a lady that had worked with them here and in Poland and America. Such fascinating yet misunderstood creatures.

This afternoon I did some work in the garden, it was a lovely day to be outside.
 I saw this spider that was wrapping a hoverfly in silk ready for eating. It had made a marvellous web with long strands going from a hanging basket which was just below roof height down to flowers in the garden below. Also amazing creatures but in a different way to the wolf.
