Getting Ready

I stopped off in Garstang today to pick up a pie for dinner (pie Friday) luckily I was early (11:00) so the roads were still open.

The rain was pouring down and the streets were very quiet but I'm sure they were thronged when the torch came through.

The rain however caused the cancellation of some of the planned activities taking place which I thought was a real shame.

Could be a good day tomorrow, early start to see Brian carrying the torch in St Annes and then off to Quernmore to marshal for the Clougha Pike Fell race, the Quernmore sports have been cancelled due to the weather but the race is going ahead.
