Blue Mistflower

This is Blue Mistflower Conoclinium coelestinum. It's a native Florida Wildflower and is much loved by both bees and butterflies. Mist flower spreads quickly and easily and can become a garden 'pest'. Not in my yard though because everything just fights it out and only the strong survive! Thanks to BikerBear for hosting FlowerFriday! :)

Today's 'Extra' is of the Polyphemus Moth from my blip yesterday. It survived the night and left the security of the brown paper bag. This morning I saw the moth struggling, not able to fly. It hid behind some plants and I had hope for it's recovery but one of the dogs put the poor creature out of it's misery about an hour ago. Sad but that's life, right?
