80 Mile Beach

80 miles of white sand , warm water and scattered with shells of all shapes and sizes.

The relatively high tides make for interesting times at the waters edge.

We found a lone fisherman trying his luck in a receding tide. I dont think he was doing that well as we noted him looking for shells rather than tending his line.

The 80 mile Beach is some 400 km south of Broome, and has a very large caravan park right on the beach. Our small 2 man camper van on an unpowered site is very much the poor relation amongst some of the fanciest rigs you could wish to see.

Still...I don't think anyone could be enjoying it more than us, soon to be better with a single malt whisky and ice.
