An old saying.

" An apple a day keeps the doctor away".

It was Apple Day at Beardsworths Nuseries today, and there were lots for you to try, and taste.
Even a demonstration of cider making.
I tried quite a few. Just wish we had room for an apple tree.
Apparently there are 7,500 known cultivars of apples, and apples are a member of the rose family.
Two facts I have learnt today!
They did seem to be selling quite a few trees, so some families will be eating their own apples next year!
Does that mean doctors will become redundant!!!!!
Somehow I don't think they should be too worried!
