St Michael's Mount

Anns, friends Caroline & Tony, are staying with us this weekend and they wanted to go to 'St Michael's Mount' because they’d never been before.

From a human point of view; it wasn’t really a very successful trip.................

..................First the car park attendant shouted at us because we didn’t park where he wanted us to park.  Well, it was a huge field and no way were we going right down the bottom where we’d have to do extra walking.  Obviously I wouldn’t have minded doing extra walking.

Then we spotted a sign that said that the boats weren’t operating.  But that was OK because the tide was going out so we walked across the causeway & we were able to walk back.

The castle was also closed but that didn’t worry me because I’m not even sure if little collies are allowed in the castle.

The worst thing as far as Caroline was concerned was.......................  the cafe was closed.  And Caroline was desperate for a Cornish cream tea.  So we walked all the way back across the causeway to Marazion and Caroline had a cream tea in a lovely little cafe that we found.

...............But one of the scones wasn’t cooked properly and when she complained, the server refused to do anything about it.  And after reading trip advisor it would appear that other people have had undercooked scones too!

Then we drove out the car park and the car park attendant glared at us.  But the humans kept the windows closed & avoided eye contact.

Anyway I’ve had a fabulous walk.  I rolled on stinky things, I stretched out on smelly seaweed and I wallowed in rock pools.

.............And the sun has shone all day.  And it’s been hotter than summer.

And now I’m going to have ‘quiet time’ because the humans are off out for dinner.

Happy Saturday evening peeps.
