Uh oh....

Here is my little girl. No more my baby or toddler, a beautiful, generous natured, little lady.

She loves dressing up at the drop of a hat but loves dancing so much more. She has never had a class in her life & I plan to keep it that way until she is 4. As an ex professional dancer, choreographer & dance teacher, I have seen so many budding dancers squashed by rules, rights & wrongs, weight issues & not being allowed to use their imagination.

I want to remember this moment forever, her dancing free as a bird, as if she is on the biggest stage in the world, with an even bigger audience. She tells us what instruments we have to play for her, while she dances to the tune with a look of sheer joy on her face. I want her to be this way forever. In time I will find her the right teacher who will nurture her not rule her with fear.

Tonight while watching strictly come dancing, she asked her daddy up to dance. He joined her on her stage, twirling her, lifts and sways until she demanded to be put down to do her steps.

After one last dance mummy she went dancing off to bed shattered. Even once in bed, we could here her dancing in her room, until she fell in to her bed to tired to pull the covers over herself.

Tomorrow there will be another show, with a new dance and even bigger smiles. Roll on tomorrow.

Grandma....get ready to start making costumes or at least dig mummy's old ones out!
