Backblipping

By the time we got to the hotel in Accra on Saturday it was almost 10pm. Time for a couple of beers and then bed.

We were to be picked up at 8am on Sunday for the drive to Kumasi - 4-5 hours.

Blipping wasn’t possible, although the hotel did have wifi.

We were met at Accra Airport by the local staff of the charity which is renting us our house in Kumasi. That was a good thing. The airport is a busy place. It was dark. It was hot & humid. Friendly faces behind a name card were very welcome.

The downside was they were collecting 12 young volunteers off various flights and so we had to camp out in the car park waiting for them to fight past health control, immigration and baggage reclaim. (After that comes baggage reclaim control and a sea of humanity jostling to meet their family and friends.)

So our car park camp out became the Blip.
