Unexpected sunshine

The forecast was for cloud for the majority of today but instead we have had a sunny Sunday. I spent the morning getting ready for the week until I hit a bit of a go-slow with a set of marking. A few jobs done after lunch and before we went out for a walk with the bestest friend. A trip down the road to Fiskerton Fen and along the river. Bailey enjoyed bounding and burying his head in the long grass (as evidenced by the extra) and we enjoyed the peace and the sunshine for a catch-up. This shot is back towards the hide from the river bank and if you look really closely you might just spot the heron as we did. We also spotted the Vulcan Bomber flying along the river and back with an escort that we couldn't quite capture. I would blip the Vulcan if my shot wouldn't make it even harder to spot than the heron!

Home to finish off the marking and then time to make a proper tea and a walk around the block before it got dark. And that'll be Sunday done.
