Remember

War shouldn't be glorified or celebrated.

War is not glamorous. It is brutal, bloody, impersonal, destructive and causes so much pain.

But those soldiers and other brave men and women who serve, fight, are injured and die for their country or cause are doing their job and make the ultimate sacrifice.

We remember them because we must not make the same mistakes again.

We remember them because they gave so much so that we could have what we have.

Today I took a walk down to the remembrance garden in Princes Street Gardens - some more shots of that and the old comrades I met on Flickr later when I have some time.
