Đại Lãnh lighthouse

We hired a scooter again and drove south along the coast to the Đại Lãnh lighthouse, the most eastern point in all of Vietnam. It's quite well known with Vietnamese for the spot to watch the first sunrise in the country. A local guy had tried to arrange with the lighthouse for us to spend the night there and get up early for sunrise but sadly it wasn't possible. We visited some gorgeous bays and saw lots of stunning coastline before getting to the lighthouse for sunset. We went up to the top and took in the views. We decided we'd get up in the night and drive back in time to see the sun come up.

The drive back to the city at dusk meant that my face was being bombarded by hundreds of bugs.
