Lights, Camera - No Action Yet!

I've been up at the venue of tomorrow night Commitments gig all day. We've set a wonderful stage up (borrowed from the primary school). We've dressed the barn to turn it from a lambing barn into a concert venue. It looks very good and it'll be less draughty then it was. I was very pleased to see the size of the stage. With 12 of us and our instruments, ampifiers and all the stuff that's needed, we need a bit of space. The banner above the stage is a nod to the first Commitments gig in the Alan Parker film.

This afternoon we put up the PA and lights and checked everything. We'll do the sound checks tomorrow for us and our two support bands.

All this has been done by a little band of folks who give their time  freely and everything we're using belongs to band members or has been borrowed from organisations in the village. All in all apart from items that individuals have paid out for, we haven't spent a penny that will come out of the profits that are being raised for charitable causes ... and we're all going to have a great night!
