Thank you for all the recent lovely comments about the Sparrowhawk landing in the pond and also wishing me well. You are very kind.

Today got off to a good start with the sun shining on Dawn, her dogs and me as we enjoyed a short walk in Panshanger Park. The fields have been ploughed but somehow their emptiness added a richness to the landscape. Most of the rest of day was spent map reading and route planning. It's been problematic to find walks within the remit of the Giriguiding Walking Scheme but exciting to be planning a trip at all.
