Into the sunset

Went to the pub to watch the Scotland vs Poland and Ireland vs Germany games with three friends. It was set to be a memorable night until Ireland scored and Poland equalised with the last kick of the game. Why does Scotland keep putting its supporters through such agony?

I don't begrudge the rest of the home nations and Ireland qualifying, but it will be tough to watch the Euros next summer without Scotland.
