In situ

It being National Poetry Day I went looking for a poem I knew was in the Parliament ( in addition to the one by Liz Lochhead that hangs next to my desk).

This poem hangs in the corridor that joins the entrance lobby to the garden lobby and is the poem that the first modern "makar" Edwin Morgan wrote for the opening of the Parliament building in 2004.

Liz Lochhead read it on that day and read it again on Friday night in Dunoon as a fine example of a public poem.

I thought it would be good to share it in situ today, complete with this reflected MSP who, like the 127 others , is still trying to live up to it.
